It was back to regional events for the team this weekend. Kailey Skelton and Steven Walton would be competing in the fifth round of the Southridge winter series in Fontana, California. This series brings out some of the best Southern California athletes that are continuously training to become the best. Friday’s practice started off very well with a late evening sash for Steven Walton who would be mapping out their Enduro and Downhill Tracks for this weekends race.
It would only be Steven Walton competing in the professional men’s category this weekend since Nik Nestoroff was out with his father enjoying the great scenery of the greater Zion area. Nik was out in Utah training for his first 2021 Big mountain Enduro race coming up next week in Missouri. Saturday brought great weather to the local Fontana area and it would fire off the Enduro category. Steven would put down some heater stage wins to claim the overall victory for Saturday’s professional Enduro race. This gave great confidence for Steve going into Sunday’s Downhill event. Also during Saturday’s Enduro Kailey Skelton would be practicing her downhill training for Sunday’s finals she would be competing in the professional women’s category!
Sunday came quick the weather would remain very great as always, Southern California is known for their sunshine and great weather. Both Kailey Skelton and Steven Walton would throw down amazing race runs to claim both victories in the men and women professional Downhill categories. The team will be heading out Wednesday for the first round of the Big Mountain Enduro series. They will be heading to Missouri to race against the best Enduro athletes in the nation. We are very excited to get out there and see what we can bring to the table when it comes to endure a racing! Till next time we’ll see you at the races thanks for all the great support!
