With thousands of passionate spectators lining the course, Downhill Mountain Bike Racing was back in full force, putting on a show of speed, skill, and precision in one of the most scenic mountain venues on the circuit.
KHS Pro MTB came ready to race, fielding a strong roster in both the Elite Men’s and Women’s categories. Saturday’s finals saw the atmosphere reach a fever pitch, with fans packing the trails to catch every second of the pro riders charging down the technical, high-alpine track.
First out of the start gate for KHS was Mackenna Merten, who delivered a rock-solid run and held the hot seat well into the women’s field, ultimately finishing with a Top 10 result in the Elite Women’s category — a strong showing in such a stacked field.
Next up, Shane Leslie took to the track in the Elite Men’s final and powered his way to a Top 20 finish, battling among the strongest riders in North America in one of the most competitive fields the series has seen this year.
But the highlight of the day came from rising star Bella Naughton, who continued her stellar season by landing in fourth place, just outside the top three — once again putting KHS Pro MTB on the podium and cementing her status as one of the top women in U.S. downhill racing.
This round at Solitude proved that Downhill MTB is alive and thriving, with growing fan engagement, epic racing, and an electric vibe in the mountains.
With only four days to recover, the team now sets its sights on the U.S. National Downhill Championships in Big Bear Lake, California, where the best in the country will battle it out for the stars and stripes jersey — and another stop in the Pro Downhill Series adds even more intensity to the upcoming showdown.
